Dental hygiene is the practice of keeping the mouth and teeth clean to prevent dental problems, most commonly, dental cavities, gingivitis, caries, periodontal (gum) diseases and bad breath.  Vincent infection- a painful disease of the mouth characterized by gray ulceration of the mucous membrane, bleeding of gums, foul odour to the breath etc. Teeth cleaning are the removal of dental plaque and tartar from teeth to prevent cavities, gingivitis, gum disease, and tooth decay. Tooth decay is the most common global disease. A dental hygienist is a licensed dental professional who is registered with a dental association or regulatory body within their country of practice.

OMF surgery is unique in requiring a dual qualification in medicine (Dental anesthesiology) and dentistry, and is often seen as the bridge between medicine and dentistry, treating conditions that require expertise from both backgrounds such as head and neck cancers, salivary gland diseases, facial disproportion, facial pain, temporomandibular joint disorders, impacted teeth, Pediatric craniofacial and cleft surgeryAntibiotic prophylaxis and early dental implant failure,  cysts and tumours of the jaws as well as numerous problems affecting the oral mucosa such as mouth ulcers and infections and also diagnosis and management of dento-facial deformities.

Endodontic is a dental specialty which deals with the dental pulp. Root canal therapy is one of the common procedures followed in endodontic treatments. Also includes treatment of cracked teeth and dental trauma. Endodontic treatment is done to save the teeth from diseased dental pulp. Successful Endodontic  root canal therapy depends on the elimination of the microorganism from the root canal system through the use of Diode laser  in the root canal therapy .Nickel-titanium (Ni Ti) Rotary files to Endodontics  almost changed the way root canal preparation are performed. Regenerative Endodontics uses the concept of tissue engineering to restore the root canals to a healthy. Most endodontists offer tremendous flexibility in accommodating emergency cases, so delays in treatment are kept to a minimum and patients can be relieved of dental pain quickly. Many endodontists use state-of-the-art technology such as operating microscopes, digital imagingultrasonic instrumentation and fiber optics, to treat their patients quickly and comfortably. Today, getting root canal treatment is often no more uncomfortable than having a filling.

Orthodontics is a specialty field of dentistry that diagnoses, prevents and treats irregularities of the teeth and face. Treatment can correct an irregular or "bad" bite, also known as a malocclusion. The Invisalign method is gaining an increasing interest as an alternative treatment option in adult patient in multidisciplinary complex cases to simplify the treatment plan. Orthodontic implants have become a reliable method in orthodontic practice for providing temporary additional anchorage. These devices are useful to control skeletal anchorage in less compliant patients or in cases where absolute anchorage is necessary. Cleft lip and palate is usually treated with surgery. Other treatments may be needed to treat associated symptoms, such as speech therapy or dental care.

Ethics affect virtually every decision made in a dental office, encompassing activities of both judging and choosing. Ethics affect relationships with patients, the public, office staff, and other professionals. Without a solid ethical foundation, you simply cannot be a true professional. The dentist must be aware of patients’ legitimate needs for prescription drugs.

Dental surgery is any of a number of medical procedures that involve artificially modifying dentition; in other words, surgery of the teeth and jaw bones.

Dental care is important to prevent dental disease and to maintain proper dental and oral health. Oral problems, including dental and periodontal infectionsdry mouthtooth decay, are all treatable with proper diagnosis and care. Over one third of the population has no access to community water fluoridation which causes serious oral health problems. Over 108 million children and adults lack dental insurance, which is over 2.5 times of the number who lacks medical insurance. American dental attains greater significance as it has taken the concepts of promoting oral health, and preventing oral diseases.  The significant role that dentists, dental hygienists, scientists, and other health professionals of Dental events will leads to the: safe and effective disease prevention measures exist that everyone can adopt to improve oral health and prevent disease.

Dentists inject anesthetic to block sensory transmission by the alveolar nerves. The superior alveolar nerves are not usually anesthetized directly because they are difficult to approach with a needle. For this reason, the maxillary teeth are usually anesthetized locally by inserting the needle beneath the oral mucosa surrounding the teeth. The inferior alveolar nerve is probably anesthetized more often than any other nerve in the body. To anesthetize this nerve, the dentist inserts the needle somewhat posterior to the patient’s last molar.

Nanodentistry is a branch that involves the maintenance and up gradation of oral health care yet more precise by employing nanomaterials, biotechnology, including tissue engineering & ultimately dental Nano robotics. Recent developments of nanoparticles and nanotubes in operative dentistry, endodontics, periodontal management, has played a growing role in the enhancement of dental industry. Nanomaterial’s and nanoparticles are cornerstones of innovative dental devices used for drug discovery and delivery, discovery of biomarkers, and molecular diagnostics. Nanodentistry aims to manipulate and fine tune particle to create unique with novel properties and advances in dentistry.

From subtle changes to major repairs, your dentist can perform a variety of procedures to improve your smile which generally discussed during the Dentistry congress and Dentistry workshops. There are many techniques and options to treat teeth that are discolored, chipped, misshapen or missing. Your dentist can reshape your teeth, close spaces, restore worn or short teeth or alter the length of your teeth. Common procedures include bleaching, bonding, crowns, veneers and reshaping and contouring.

Preventive dentistry is the cutting edge method for offering you some assistance with keeping a solid mouth. It helps you to keep your teeth, and implies you need less dental treatment. The two fundamental driver of tooth misfortune are rot and gum sickness. The better you avoid or manage these two issues, the more risk you will have of keeping your teeth forever.

Dentistry continues to change, particularly because of the advances in clinical dentistry, materials and technology. These changes offer opportunities for both patients and dental practices alike. Now patients can benefit from the advances in Clinical dentistry and dental practices can benefit from the opportunity to move their business in a forward direction. Dental practices need to constantly look at the available options. Dentists can now offer patients advanced choices like Laser dentistryEsthetic dentistryDigital dentistry and Implant dentistry. I find that dentists who are taking advanced clinical courses and utilizing technology are re-energized and enjoying dentistry more than ever before.

Dentistry has seen massive improvements with respect to advancement from the traditional techniques to the digital world that has widened the scope of dental treatments and procedures. Digital dentistry tools and techniques used at present include the Laser applications, Dental implants and occlusal analysis, Forensic dentistry, Dental radiography/informatics, Robotic and digital dentistry and Imaging techniques for the craniofacial hard and soft tissues.

Dental sleep medicine is an area of dental practice that focuses on the use of oral appliance therapy to treat sleep-disordered breathing, including snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Approximately 25 million adults have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which can cause them to stop breathing hundreds of times a night for anywhere, from a few seconds to more than a minute. Sleep apnea is a chronic condition that occurs when your muscles relax during sleep, allowing soft tissue to collapse and block the airway. As a result, repeated breathing pauses occur, which often reduce your oxygen levels. These breathing pauses are followed by brief awakenings that disturb your sleep.

Every interaction between your dental practice and a patient is a component of marketing. In some cases, this will encompass concrete details like the way your office staff answers the phone or the list of services you offer. The need for better dental marketing has increased with the public’s awareness, as well as industry need to develop better services. Because of the flood of information on the internet, average new patient is more aware and educated concerning the aesthetic options available today from a dentist. As a result, a higher quality dentist is being requested that .they have to develop a Comprehensive Marketing Strategy. Dental program is not complete without comprehensive internet marketing. By now, most dental practices possess a fairly upscale website. The next key to your cosmetic dentistry marketing plan is to constantly enhance the user experience of website.

Oral microbiology is the study of the microorganisms of the oral cavity. Oral microflorae can cause dental plaques and is a common cause of dental caries and periodontal disease. It is the specialty of dentistry and pathology that deals with the nature, identification, and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. It is a science that investigates the causes, processes, and effects of these diseases. It is the division of dentistry which deals with the diseases of oral and Para oral structures and provides an understanding of which is essential for diagnosis and for the development of rational treatment. The practice of oral pathology includes research, diagnosis of diseases using clinical, radiographic, microscopic, biochemical, or other examinations, and management of patients. Oral pathology is a discipline that deals with the study of causation and treatment of oral diseases: diseases of the mouth, jaws and related oral structures like salivary glands, temporomandibular joints etc. The oral pathology can be considered a multi-disciplinary topic- a combination of dentistry and pathology.

Dentistry continues to change, particularly because of the advances in clinical dentistry, materials and technology. These changes offer opportunities for both patients and dental practices alike. Dental education provides the most current information available on a wide variety of topics using traditional teaching methods, from new techniques, materials and technology to innovative practice solutions. Today, there is no reason for anyone in dentistry to complain about being bored, unproductive or at a plateau. Dental Training Provides an interesting insight into the treatments that students consider to be 'specialist' in nature, identifies students  interests in respect of further training and potential barriers to undertaking formal specialist training pathways and reflects undergraduate student opinions with regards to styles of teaching they prefer.

It is intended to promote study and scientific research in the field of dental Implantology and allied biomedical disciplines at Dental Dubai. It provides valuable information to general dentists, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, periodontists, scientists, clinicians, laboratory owners and technicians, manufacturers, and educators during Dentistry workshop and Dentistry conferences. Dental Implant basics, prosthetics, pharmaceuticals, and the latest research in Implantology, implant surgery, and advanced implant procedures

Prosthodontics is experts in the restoration and replacement of teeth - they make smiles look beautiful and function the way they should. Maxillo-facial prosthetics, Implant-based prostheses, Management of temporo-mandibular disorders, Dentures, Crowns, bridges, and full or partial dentures are just some of the procedures that can help you regain your smile and improve your appearance and self-confidence. Another option is dental implants, a more permanent solution that has improved greatly over the last ten years, thanks to the pioneering techniques of prosthodontics.

Geriatric dentistry or Gerodontics is the delivery of dental care to older adults involving the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of problems associated with normal aging and age-related diseases as part of an interdisciplinary team with other health care professionals.
